Good question. My brother in laws are gay and so we find ourselves right in the middle of this controversy. I just want them to be taken care of if something should happen to one or the other now that they have had a baby through surrogacy. I think the church should butt out of the legal side of things. Let everyone worship and love how they want. We all don't have to agree legally do we?? My bros say that this is why they don't even mess with being a legal couple. They just do things in their own quiet way and no one needs to know about it.
This isn't something we had to vote on but I find it all very interesting. Here's my opinion.
Gays actually do have the same rights as everyone else. They have the right to marry someone of the opposite sex just like we do. Changing it so they can marry someone of the same sex is actually giving them special treatment which doesn't amount to equal rights. And don't gays want equal rights? Hmm... interesting.
For all of those who say "People should have the right to marry whomever they love regardless of sex, age, or race." How do you feel about marrying more than one wife (or husband) even if they're only 15? Just curious.
I have to agree with Emma!Ha! How true it is! If they are going to make it legal then they ought to do it for all the polygamous! We are all about equal rights!

Dating, Born in South Korea, I have one biological brother, and five other siblings, Dancer, pianist, crocheter, I love to read, I believe I am smarter than a 5th grader, the next American Idol, America's Next top Model, America's Favorite dancer, and Hell's Kitchen winner. If there was a beach here, I would enjoy long walks on it under a full moon. I hope my life is not always crazy. I enjoy good people, good drinks, good fun, and just being good. One day I hope to marry the handsome and dreamy Prince William and I will even settle for Prince Henry. In the future, I hope to find whatever it is I've been searching for.....Some things I think are important are Family, Friendship, Trust, Honesty, Love, and Knowledge.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, & fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."
